NEW ARCHEOLOGICAL RESEARCHES IN VAL BAGANZA
The valley was first in habited about 150.000 years ago.
This is evidenced by the splinter silicea made with the Levallois (fig. 1) technique. It was discovered in Pilastro near Sala Baganza by Mr Carlo Bertoli.
Among the aforesaid manufact there's also an axe in serpentine discovered in Maiatico by Mr Vittorio Pederzani from Sala Baganza (fig. 2).
In adittion to this, there's also a fragment of a painted bowl, of the renaissance period foun by surveyor Enzo Bovaia in Terenzo who gave it to the archeological museum in Parma during a meetting of the “centro studi Val Baganza” ( fig.3 ).
